House suffers damage after afternoon fire, say firefighters

IRMO, S.C. (WOLO)– Thursday afternoon, Irmo Fire District crews assisted Lexington County Fire crews to extinguish a house fire in the Chapin area, says the district.

The fire happened on Old Lexington Hwy in the Chapin area. Firefighters say they managed to quickly bring the fire under control and there were no injuries reported.

Unfortunately the house suffered substantial damage.
