Fairfield County coroner identifies victim of motorcycle collision

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Fairfield County Coroner Chris Hill has released the name of the person who died after a fatal motorcycle accident that occurred on Friday.

According to Coroner Hill, Mickey Hill, age 67, of Winnsboro, was riding his motorcycle south on US Hwy 321 on Friday, May 31, when he was hit by a vehicle.

Hill was taken to Prisma Health Richland Memorial by ambulance where he died from his injuries. An autopsy has been scheduled for Monday, June 3, 2024.

The collision remains under investigation by the Fairfield County Coroner’s Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
