Millions of Ticketmaster customers part of massive data breach

(CNN) —The information of over 500 million ticketmaster customers has been stolen in a massive data breach.that’s according to federal documents ticketmaster’s parent company — live nation — filed with the u-s securities and exchange commission on friday.

The stolen data allegedly includes customer identifying information like credit card numbers, emails, addresses, phone numbers and ticket purchases.

Passwords do not appear to have been compromised, but cyber experts suggest changing them anyway.
According to a New York Times report, the unauthorized activity was discovered last month but it is unclear when the hack happened.
