New Spirit Airlines guidelines announced

(CNN)– Spirit Airlines is trying to even the playing field with more flexible policies.

They have increased the check bag weight allowance to 50 pounds and extended future travel vouchers expiration to 12 months.

The low cost carrier announced these new initiatives after recently getting rid of change and cancellation fees for all travelers.

That’s something most full service airlines did during the COVID pandemic.
