Man accused of stealing copper wiring from home, say Cayce Police

CAYCE, S.C. (WOLO)– A man was charged with grand larceny after investigators say he stole copper wiring from a home, said Cayce PD.

Derrick Rich is accused of entering a home under construction in Riverland Park and stealing around $5,000 worth of copper wiring on Friday, May 17.

Cayce Police Department said the incident caused damaged to the home.

Investigators worked with the homeowner and used his surveillance footage to quickly identify Rich.

He was arrested on Monday, June 3, charged with grand larceny and taken to the Lexington County Sheriff’s Detention Center.
