Fifth Circuit Solicitor’s office to host Driver’s License Reinstatement Clinic

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– The Fifth Circuit Solicitor’s office is hosting a Driver’s License Reinstatement Clinic for anyone with traffic tickets that led to a license suspension.

The clinic is a joint event organized by the Fifth Circuit Solicitor’s office, the Public Defender’s Office, the Rainy Day Fund and The Street Dog Coalition with participation by the Columbia Municipal Court, the Municipal Court of Cayce (Richland county tickets) and the Richland County Magistrate Courts.

Saturday, June 8, anyone who had a traffic ticket that was unpaid and led to a SCDL suspension from one of these courts and the ticket disposition is over two years old can attend the event.

Volunteers will be able to advise possible ways to restore their driver’s license and lift the suspension with the Department of Motor Vehicles.

The event will also have other service providers to help provide information from Expungements to Pardons, social benefit programs and a host of others including veterinary services, says the solicitor’s office.
