Coroner releases name of person who died after motor vehicle collision

 

KERSHAW COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Kershaw County Coroner David West has released the name of the person who died after an early morning motor vehicle collision, said the coroner’s office.

The collision happened early morning on Sunday, June 9, around 1:59 a.m. The collision was called in from the victim’s cellphone which had crash detection on it.

Coroner West said the victim was identified as 41-year-old Nicholas Nathaniel Baker and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Baker was headed North on Veterans Row in Elgin when the collision happened. The collision is under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
