RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Richland Library is celebrating Black Music Month with a Small Talk with Neo-Soul songstress and Soda-City native Angie Stone.

On Friday, June 21, you can take a walk down memory lane with Angie Stone from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the Richland Library Main (1431 Assembly St., 29201).

Stone will be joined by the members of The Sequence – Cheryl “Cheryl the Pearl” Cook and Gwendolyn “Blondy” Chisolm.

The Columbia native graduated from C.A. Johnson High School.

While working, the singer began saving up money to record her demos which eventually led to her being Grammy-nominated, and have two gold certified albums.

The three Columbia natives are returning home to share their experience along with  Dr. Toby S. Jenkins, author of The Hip Hop Mindset.
