Coroner identifies man killed after early Wednesday morning shooting

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Richland County Coroner Naida Rutherford is releasing the name of the man who was killed during an early morning Wednesday shooting, says the coroner’s office.

Coroner Rutherford says the man is identified as 46-year-old Steven W. Hughes, of Lexington.

The shooting happened in the early morning hours on Wednesday, June 12, in the 7200 block of Fairmont Drive.

“We will continue working with the Richland County Sheriff’s Department to fully investigate this shooting,” Coroner Rutherford states.
