CRFD: Firefighters respond to late Wednesday night fire

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Columbia-Richland Fire Department worked to put out a fire that broke out at an Oak Brook Drive home late Wednesday night, says the fire department.
First shift crews were able to control a house fire that happened on Oak Brook Drive on late Wednesday night, June 12.
CRFD says engine 24 arrived at the scene at around 9:20 p.m. to find fire visible from one corner of the home. Crews searched the property, found one person on the first floor and assisted him outside to safety.
Then firefighters say the fire on the third floor and in the attic area was successfully extinguished. The person was taken from the scene by Richland County EMS with minor injuries.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
