Father’s Day spending to top $22 billion

(CNN)– Father’s Day is this Sunday, and spending is expected to top $22.4 billion this year. That’s according to the National Retail Federation.

That’s slightly down from last year but still much higher than pre-pandemic levels. They estimate consumers will spend $189.81 on gifts and celebrations per person this year.

Aside from greeting cards, clothes top the list of the most popular items for dad this year followed by special outings like sporting events, gift cards or personal care items like beard trimmers.
