Sunscreen foundation recalled for possible mold

(CNN)– Skincare company ‘Suntegrity’ is recalling some of its sunscreen foundation due to possible mold contamination.

The FDA said 9 lots of ‘impeccable skin sunscreen foundation’ are being pulled from shelves.

No adverse reactions have been reported but consumers are advised to stop using the product and request a refund.

The company says all of their products passed initial testing, but later product separation caused the contamination.

Products containing mold can cause an allergic skin reaction or infection, and give a strong odor.

Reactions typically clear up after cleaning the skin and discontinuing use.
