Survivors of human trafficking now have a new safe haven in the Midlands

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Survivors of human trafficking will have a new safe haven in the Midlands.

This afternoon a grand opening ceremony was held for ‘The Harbor With Lighthouse For Life’.

Officials say The Harbor on Saint Andrews Road will be a place where victims of human trafficking can reach out for short and long-term support.

Lighthouse For Life is a faith-based non-profit organization focused on fighting human trafficking and sex trafficking in the Midlands.
