Explore black-owned businesses with Black Eats Week 803
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– The second annual Black Eats Week 803(BEW803) is here and you can celebrate a Black-owned establishment this week.
From June 17 through June 23, residents in the Midlands can choose from 9 restaurants to explore.
This year’s second annual Black Eats Week 803, will represent of a variety of different cuisines, including Trinidadian, Jamaican, West African, the Low Country, and other traditional Southern favorites.
“We are so proud to host the 2nd annual Black Eats Week 803 and bring together such a talented, diverse group of restauranteurs, said Khali Gallman, founder.
BEW803 was established in 2023 to highlight and support Black entrepreneurs in the food industry, provide a platform that creates awareness and allows people the chance to discover new favorities while supporting the community, says BEW803 officials.
The 2024 list of participants include:

- Ms. B’s Southern Soul Food, 676 St. Andrews Rd
- Annie B’s Mini Donuts (Food Truck)
- Indulge N Pts, 5708 N. Main St, Ste D
- Trini Lime Caribbean Café, 2008 State St (Cayce)
- Just A Touch, 7201 Two Notch Rd, Ste FC5 (inside Columbia Place Mall)
- Le Bambou, 10203 Two Notch Rd

“This event is not just about enjoying great food; it’s about supporting and uplifting our local Black-owned businesses while celebrating their contributions to our community. We encourage everyone to come out and experience the amazing flavors and warm hospitality that our participating establishments have to offer,” continued Gallman.
Officials say customers will have a chance to win cash prizes for patronizing the restaurants and participating in the Bingo board game.
Bingo boards will be given out at each participating location or may be downloaded on the website, once you post your meal and receipt and tag @BlackEatsWeek803 on Instagram, you will be entered in the contest.
