COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) has begun reopening another section of the Hardscrabble Road Project beginning near Farrow Road and ending at the bridge over Crane Creek.

Crews are working to remove the cones in the area and the completed section is expected to be fully opened by the end of the day, says SCDOT.

The section is around 1.5 miles of the project and the improvements include a new widened four-lane roadway and a smooth driving surface.

SCDOT is encouraging motorist to drive slowly and pay attention when driving through work zones.
