Election Commission certifies primaries, runoffs set for June 25

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– The results of the June 11, statewide primaries have been certified.

The South Carolina Election Commission wants to make sure voters understand the rules for voting in the runoffs on Tuesday, June 25.

Voters should check their sample ballot at scVOTES.gov to see offices in which you are eligible to vote as some voters will not have a runoff.

Voters who voted in the June 11 primaries are limited to voting in the same party’s runoff and voters who did not vote in the June 11 primaries can choose to vote in either party’s runoff.

Poll locations will be open from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. on Tuesday.

The early voting period takes place on Wednesday, June 19, until Friday, June 21, from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. Click here to get the locations for each county.

Anyone who applied for an absentee ballot, will receive the ballot in the mail soon.

And should complete and return the ballot to your county voter registration office by mail or in person no later than 7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 25.
