JetBlue to allow carry-ons for basic economy
(CNN)– JetBlue is making big changes to its carry-on baggage policy. Tuesday, the airline said basic economy ticket-holders will soon be able to bring a carry-on bag in addition to their personal item.
That’s as long as space permits. Passengers previously had to pay more they wanted to stow a carry-on.
The new policy takes effect in September and it does not matter when the ticket was purchased.
The change will make United Airlines the only major carrier that does not allow cary-on bags on basic economy tickets.
