SC lawmakers discuss the state budget

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Lawmakers are back at the State House this week but not in the way that many expected.

After the legislative session ended last month with unfinished business, the general assembly expected to return to iron out a few leftover issues including the budget.

However, this timeline might be extended with some deals yet to be struck in conference committees over certain issues including arguably the most important issue on the table.

Democrat Representative Russell Ott explains. Various conference committees have been scheduled to meet on State House grounds for the next 8 days to continue discussions.
