Coroner identifies individual dead after multi-vehicle collision
LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– The Lexington County coroner has identified the person who died after a multi-vehicle collision on Tuesday, says the coroner’s office.
The collision happened near the 130 mile-marker eastbound in the Swansea area of Lexington County at around 7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 18.
According to Coroner Margaret Fisher, Ulysses Donell Green, 36, of Blythewood was traveling eastbound on I-26 when he hit the rear of a tractor-trailer.
Green was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the tractor-trailer was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The Lexington County Coroner’s Office and South Carolina Highway Patrol are continuing to investigate the incident.
