The ‘Grandmother’ of Juneteenth walks to commemorate holiday

(CNN) — Considered the ‘Grandmother’ of Juneteenth and Wednesday walked two and a half miles to commemorate the two and a half years it took for the last enslaved people to learn they were free.

Ms. Opal Lee is not just celebrating this national holiday she helped make it official.
