1 dead, 1 injured following Richland County collision, say troopers

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– One person is dead after a collision in Richland County, said highway patrol.

The collision happened around 3:50 p.m. on Monday, June 17, on Percival Road, near Quail Run Lane.

According to SC Highway Patrol, the driver of a 2010 Nissan Maxima struck a 2001 Jeep Cherokee that was traveling west on Percival Road.

Troopers said the Nissan attempted to turn left from a private drive and enter Percival Road when the Jeep hit it.

The driver of the Nissan was pronounced dead and a passenger inside was taken to a nearby hospital by EMS, authorities said. The driver of the jeep was not injured.
