ORANGEBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– SC Highway Patrol says troopers are investigating a collision that killed two and sent three others to an area hospital on Monday afternoon.

The collision happened around 12 p.m. on US-301 at La Quinta Drive, about two miles north of Orangeburg.

Troopers said a 2017 Nissan Altima traveling south on US-301 collided with a 2010 Honda Odyssey van traveling north.

Both drivers died at the scene, according to highway patrol. EMS took the two passengers that was in the sedan and the one passenger that was in the van to hospitals in the area.

The names of the victims have not yet been released. The collision is under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
