Survey: Almost half of firms to use AI to automate work

(CNN)– Nearly half of large U.S. firms say they plan to use artificial intelligence to do work previously done by human employees.

Over 80% of large companies say that they have already leaned on software, equipment or tech including AI to conduct employee tasks in the past year.

That’s according to a survey released Thursday that was conducted by Duke University and the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta.

Companies aren’t just using the technology as a tool to cut costs, but also to make their workers more productive.
