580K glass coffee mugs recalled

(CNN)– Over half a million popular glass coffee mugs are being recalled, after hot liquid caused some to break.

580 thousand, 16 ounce “Joy Jolt” Declan Single-Wall Glass Mugs are being recalled.

The mugs are sold as a set of 6 on amazon and the company’s website.

They were sold from September 2019 through May 2022.

According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, there are more than 1 hundred reports of breakage and nearly 5 dozen injuries.

Yesterday, the glassware company “Joy Jolt” said the mugs broke at the base when exposed to hot liquids.
