Deputies arrest man in connection with shooting incident in Peay Ridge Area

Fairfield County deputies have arrested Taures Price in connection with a shooting incident in the Peay Ridge community, says FCSO.

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Fairfield County deputies have arrested a man in connection with a shooting incident in the Peay Ridge community, says FCSO.

Deputies say Taures J. Price was involved as the shooter in the Saturday, June 22, 10 p.m. incident.

One vehicle with two people inside was struck by gunfire. No one was reported as injured.

Price was arrested and charged with 2 counts of attempted murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, unlawful possession of a firearm, and assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature.

He was taken to the Fairfield County Detention Center for a bond hearing. Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office says the incident is still under investigation.
