One detained in overnight shooting at Valero gas station on North Main Street

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – Columbia Police say one person is detained in a shooting at a gas station overnight.

It happened at 1:16 a.m. at the Valero gas station, formerly known as the Obama gas station, on North Main Street.

Richland Co. deputies responded to the scene as well.

According to investigators, an altercation happened in the parking lot which led to the shooting.

One person was taken to the hospital but their condition is unknown.

This incident is under investigation.
