Sunday was busiest screening day for TSA

(CNN)– More and more people are flying this Summer.

The Transportation Security Administration says its workers on Sunday screened nearly 3 million people at airports across the country.

The agency says it was the busiest say ever for the TSA and it will only get busier.

The TSA says it expects to screen more than 32 million passengers in the days leading up to the July 4th holiday and several days after.

That would be a nearly 5-and-a-half percent increase over last year’s holiday period.
