OpenAI delaying launch of new voice assistant feature

(CNN)– OpenAI is delaying its launch of its latest feature over safety testing.

The artificial intelligence company had planned to release a new voice assistant feature for ChatGPT this month.

But on Tuesday, the AI company delayed the launch and said a broad release would come in the fall.

The reason for the delay is the need for safety testing.

OpenAI said it needs more time to make a new voice version of its chatbot better at noticing and blocking some content.
