Coroner identifies man dead after Saluda County collision

SALUDA COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Saluda County Coroner Keith Turner has identified the victim of a morning RTV vs pickup truck collision, said the coroner’s office.

The collision happened just outside the city limits of Saluda on Hwy 378/Columbia Hwy, near Barr Woods Road at about 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 26.

The driver of the utility vehicle was taken to Self Regional Healthcare, but died shortly after his arrival.

Coroner Turner identified the driver as Warren Butler Sr., 78, of Saluda.

An autopsy has been scheduled as the collision and death are being investigated by SC Highway Patrol and Saluda County Coroner’s Office.
