LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– A Swansea man is accused of killing one man and injuring another after a fight with one of them days earlier, said Lexington County deputies.
Joey Len Inabinet Jr., 29, is charged with murder, attempted murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, according to arrest warrants.
Lexington County investigators said a deputy responded to a call about a shooting at a home on Calvary Church Road before daybreak Tuesday morning, June 25.
“He found a man who had been shot but was conscious and breathing, then a witness told him someone else was shot down the road. The deputy performed CPR on the second shooting victim until EMS arrived,” Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon said.
Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher identified one of the victim’s as Robert Todd Bailey, 60, of Swansea.
Bailey was pronounced dead at the scene due to a gunshot wound to the upper body. Also, Coroner Fisher says a second victim was taken to the hospital with critical injuries.
Sheriff Koon said shell casings were found at the scene consistent with a gun investigators know has been in Inabinet’s possession.
“Our investigation into this case is ongoing; however, we are very glad to have Inabinet in custody,” continued Sheriff Koon. Inabniet was arrested late Tuesday morning and is being held in the Lexington County Detention Center.
