WEST COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– The West Columbia Police Department says a woman was arrested in relation to an armed bank robbery.

West Columbia woman Satorius Zayevon Martin was arrested in connection with the robbery at Security Federal Bank, located on Sunset Blvd.

Investigators say she alluded to having a handgun when demanding money during the incident, but one was never presented.

Officers say Martin was arrested occurred around 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, and the robbery happened around 11:30 a.m.

WCPD officers worked with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department to identify and find Martin.

“We are grateful for the quick and coordinated response by our officers and partners at the FBI and the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department,” said Police Chief Marion Boyce.

She will be taken to the Lexington County Detention Center.

Also, she is facing charges related to the robbery and is awaiting her first court appearance.
