New policy to remove explicit books from South Carolina schools

(WPDE) — A new policy in South Carolina is being implemented by the Board of Education to regulate reading materials in classrooms.
The uniform procedure for selection or reconsideration of instructional material is a new regulation made by the South Carolina Board of Education.
This will prevent students from reading books that contain sexually explicit material.
Books containing sexual material will be taken out of libraries and media centers across South Carolina.
