SCDOT to close and replace bridge on Big Beaver Creek Road in Calhoun County

CALHOUN COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– The South Carolina Department of Transportation will close the Big Beaver Creek Road bridge in Calhoun County to replace the bridge beginning on Monday, July 8, says SCDOT.

The closure is expected to last until October 2025. During the closure, a detour route will be in place that uses Columbia Road (US 21) and Old State Road (US 176).

SCDOT says the bridge replacement is part of the I-26 Widening Project.
