Firework Ordinances in the Midlands
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– There are certain ordinances to follow if you’re setting off fireworks on the 4th.
Deputies say in unincorporated parts of Lexington County, fireworks can be shot off from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Violators could get a noise ordinance ticket, which carries a fine of $150.
Forest Acres allows fireworks from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. and violates could get a misdemeanor charge.
In Columbia, you can not shoot fireworks between 12:30 a.m. and 9 a.m. Friday.
Fireworks in Richland County may be used until 1 a.m. Friday.
