SCDOT announces detour for Colonial Life Boulevard/I-126 Interchange

More overnight detours scheduled for Colonial Life Boulevard/I-126 Interchange

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Starting this evening, the South Carolina Department of Transportation will conduct a temporary overnight closure of the existing I-126 ramps at Colonial Life Boulevard, says SCDOT.

Drivers will be detoured using the Greystone Boulevard/Riverbanks Zoo interchange at I-126.

The detour schedule is as follows:

• Tuesday, July 2 to Wednesday, July 3 from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

SCDOT says the detour will be put in place tonight to finish construction work that was delayed over the weekend because of weather.

Signs will be posted to direct motorists throughout the detour route and drivers may experience temporary slowdowns and stops in traffic and are advised to use caution, plan accordingly, and follow posted instructions.
