COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Columbia-Richland Firefighters and Irmo Firefighters responded to an early morning apartment building fire, says CRFD.

Third shift crews responded to a fire on Wood Court and found a heavy fire coming from an apartment building.

Firefighters were able to get the fire under control and completely put it out. Officials say the building was vacant at the time of the fire.

One civilian at the scene had to be taken by Richland County EMS to a nearby hospital for minor injuries.

The Richland County Fire Marshal’s Office is looking into what caused it.
