CPD: Man killed in Garners Ferry Road shooting

Columbia, SC (WOLO) — The Columbia Police Department is actively investigating a fatal shooting. According to CPD they were asked to respond to Garners Crossing Apartments which is located at 7651 Garners Ferry Road around 8 pm Thursday night. Authorities say once they arrived on the scene they discovered there had been a shooting and located one injured male.

Police have confirmed that the man died from his injuries.

Officers say they have detained another individual they are question at this time.
