Richland Library teaming up with the Gamecocks for annual Pigskin Poets

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Richland Library is teaming up with the University of South Carolina Gamecocks for the 28th annual Pigskin Poets.

The Gamecocks are taking a break from the field to show the importance of summer reading for children of all ages.

Attendees will have an opportunity to film B-roll and take photos of Gamecock football players reading to and interacting with visitors at the event.

The event will take place at 3 p.m., Friday, July 12, at Charles R. Drew Wellness Center (2101 Walker Solomon Way, 29204).
