City officials: Several reports of structure fires on July 4th
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – City of Columbia officials say they’ve received reports of several structure fires on July 4th.
According to officials, the first call came in after 7 p.m. at the 500 block of Cold Branch Drive in Columbia.
In Irmo, another structure fire was reported on the 200 block of Stamport Circle before 10 p.m.
In Blythewood, another fire was in the 400 block of Swift Current Loop after 10 p.m.
In Columbia, they also responded to fires on the 200 block of Flora Springs Circle after 10 p.m., on the 200 block of Windsor Point Road after 11 p.m. and on the 300 block of Fernview Drive after midnight.
The American Red Cross says its helping the five people left displaced from the Fernview Drive fire.
Officials have not reported if anyone was injured in those fires nor have they confirmed the causes.
