Tropical storm Beryl makes its way to the Gulf of Mexico, Texas

(CNN) — Beryl made landfall in Mexico Friday morning as a category one hurricane.
The now tropical storm continues to produce strong winds, heavy rain, and a dangerous storm surge.
According to the National Oceanic Atmospheric Association (NOAA) predict the storm will continue to weaken while over land
but believe as it emerges in the Gulf of Mexico, that it will regain strength sending it back into hurricane status before taking aim at South Texas.

NOAA says the storm is expected to hit the Lone Star state early Monday morning with heavy rain beginning to batter parts of Texas and the northeastern end of Mexico as early as Sunday.
