Local Living: Sandhills Medical Foundation, Pups and Pints adoption event, “803 Day”, Splash Party

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)— In today’s look at Local Living, the Sandhills Medical Foundation is hosting a back-to-school bash this Saturday.
It’s from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at their location on Baldwin Avenue in Lugoff. Your kids must be there to get their free school supplies while they last.
You can also enjoy games, face painting, plenty of popcorn, and more.
Steel Hands Brewing and the Columbia Animal Services are hosting a Pups and Pints adoption event this Saturday. It’s from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Steel Hands on Foreman Street in Cayce.
There will be food, beer, and of course plenty of pets looking for a home. Adoption fees will be waived but make sure to bring a leash and collar.
Registration is now open for the first ever “803 Day”. The day will be filled with all kinds of activities including a 5K run/walk, a festival, and a city-wide scavenger hunt.
Event organizers say the day symbolizes unity, pride, and a vibrant spirit of the Columbia area. The fun kicks off Saturday, August 3.
The Richland Recreation Commission is hosting a series of free teen event this Summer.
The next event will be a Splash Party on July 19th from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at St. Andrews Pool.
Kids ages 12 through 17 are invited to connect with others from across the country.
