Deputies investigating after 2 found dead, 1 taken to hospital Tuesday night

 

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Richland County deputies are investigating after two people are found dead and another was taken to a hospital, said deputies.

Law enforcement said, deputies responded to a report of shots fired on Tuesday, July 9, around 10 p.m. in the 300 block of Hickory Ridge Drive.

When deputies arrived to the scene, they saw a vehicle in a yard with two victims inside, both of whom appeared unresponsive.

RCSD said once EMS and CFD arrived, it was determined that two of the three people were deceased.

Then deputies entered a home and found a third victim who appeared to have non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital.

Investigators believe this incident is related to a possible drive-by shooting. Richland County Sheriff’s Department is continuing to investigate the incident.
