FCSO: Man arrested for drug-related charges

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Sheriff Will Montgomery announces the arrest of a man for drug-related charges.
On Monday, July 8, as part of an investigation by the Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division, deputies executed a search warrant at Christopher A. Jackson’s home on Landis Road.
Deputies say during a search of the property, quantities of cocaine base (“crack cocaine”), and marijuana was found.
Additionally, three firearms and over $1,000 were seized during the search.
Deputies also located a dog on the property they say appeared to be in distress, so the Fairfield County Animal Control was called and took custody of the dog.
As a result of the investigation, Jackson was arrested for possession with intent to distribute cocaine base, possession with intent to distribute marijuana 2nd offense, unlawful possession of weapons charges, and ill treatment to an animal.
He was taken to the Fairfield County Detention Center where he was awaiting a bond hearing.
