Inmate found unresponsive at Alvin S. Glenn
RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– An inmate at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center was found unresponsive in his cell on Tuesday night, according to county officials.
Richland County officials say, a detention center nurse discovered the inmate unresponsive in his cell during a medical pass at about 6 p.m. on Tuesday, July 9.
The detention center’s on-site medical team responded and began life-saving measures to revive the detainee but were unsuccessful.
Richland County Coroner Naida Rutherford identified the inmate as 56-year-old Robert L. Moore.
The Richland County Coroner’s Office is investigating.
