Lexington Police: Roadway reopens after collision involving power pole

LEXINGTON, S.C. (WOLO)– Lexington Police say Gibson Road has reopened and a new pole is installed.

Also, officers say a driver was having a medical episode, when the driver drove off the roadway and hit a power pole.

A collision involving a vehicle striking a power pole on Gibson Road near Roberts Street has the roadway closed from George Street to Elm Street, according to Lexington Police Department.

LEXINGTON, S.C. (WOLO)– A collision involving a vehicle striking a power pole on Gibson Road near Roberts Street has the roadway closed from George Street to Elm Street, according to Lexington Police Department.

Lexington Police is asking anyone in the area to avoid the area and seek an alternate route until the roadway reopens.

Police say the closure time is extended as a new power pole has to be installed before the roadway can be open again.
