Building Better Communities’ Gun Violence Prevention Summit from July 26-28

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – One non-profit organization is hosting an event to help fight gun violence in the Midlands.

Building Better Communities’ Gun Violence Prevention Summit 2024 is from Friday, July 26 to Sunday the 28th.

It’s being held at Lenoir Rhyne University in the Stavros Auditorium at 4201 North Main Street.

Curtis spoke with the founder of the non-profit, Perry Bradley Jr., about the activities listed below that will take place to help reduce and prevent gun violence from plaguing the community.

  • Friday, July 26: Youth Summit at 7:00 PM
  • Saturday, July 27: Main Event at 12:00 PM
  • Sunday, July 28: Church Service Wesley Church(1725 Gervais St, Columbia, SC) at 9:00 AM

Some of the featured speakers include Sheriff Leon Lott from the Richland Co. Sheriff’s Department & Trevon Fordham from the Office of Violent Crime Prevention.
