Lexington Co., S.C. (WOLO)–The former chair of the Lexington County Republican Party is accused of breach of trust.

Investigators with SLED say while serving in his position with the Lexington GOP from 2016 through 2023, Craig Caldwell took $61,591 from the party’s bank account.
Officials say he covered up the transfers by falsifying the monthly treasurer’s reports.
