SCDOT to implement temporary lane closures on US 1 bridge over the Wateree River in Kershaw County

KERSHAW COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– The South Carolina Department of Transportation will be implementing temporary lane closures on the US 1 Eastbound bridge over the Wateree River in Kershaw County beginning on Saturday, says SCDOT.

The lane closures will take place during the day Saturday, July 13, until noon on Sunday, July 14.

SCDOT says the lane closures will allow crews to repair areas of the bridge deck.

Nighttime closures are expected to continue and the project is anticipated to be completed by the end of August.

SCDOT encourages drivers to slow down and pay attention when driving through work zones.
