Smoke advisory from structure & woods fire in Lexington Co.

LEXINGTON CO., S.C. (WOLO) – Lexington County officials say residents need to be aware of increased smoke near the intersection of Edmund Highway and Bluff Ridge Road today.

According to investigators, there was a structure fire that extended into a woods fire early this morning.

Due to the now contained burn, there will be smoke in the area for the majority of the day and night.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Lexington County Fire Services Fire Marshal Division.
