City of Orangeburg gearing up to host 2024 DYB World Series
ORANGEBURG, S.C. (WOLO)– The City of Orangeburg is getting ready to host the 2024 DYB World Series.
The tournament which features all-star teams from 11 Southeast states in the Division 1, and 2 AA Coach Pitch (ages 7-8), takes place from July 25 to July 30 at the Orangeburg
Recreational Park.
“We are thrilled to welcome these talented young athletes and their families to Orangeburg. The DYB World Series is a prestigious event, and we look forward to showcasing our beautiful city and Southern hospitality,” Orangeburg Mayor Michael C. Butler said.
The festivities kick off on Thursday, July 25, with a free and open to the public opening ceremony held at the Oliver C. Dawson Stadium on the campus of SC State University from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
The tournament games begin on Friday, July 26, at Orangeburg Recreational Park, offering affordable access for spectators.
City officials say series passes are available for $30 and daily admission is $10, with the ballpark opening two hours before the first pitch each day.
A free concert series will take place Friday, July 26, through Sunday, July 28, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. each night.

- Friday, July 26: Surfside – Beach Night in the Park
- Saturday, July 27: Cash Money Experience – R&B Night in Orangeburg
- Sunday, July 28: DJ RED – Dance Party in the Park
